Day 1: ARRIVE IN HA NOI

Upon arrival in Ha Noi, you will be picked up and transferred to your hotel for check in. You have free time to visit 36 Old Quarter streets, Hang Be market- a typical Vietnamese day market and enjoy a traditional water puppet show in the evening. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2: HA NOI – LAO CAI (B, L)

Depart from your hotel at 8:00AM,The day commences with a visit to Ho Chi Minh Complex (Mausoleum, Museum, the late venerated leader private residence at House on Stilts, followed by the wooden One Pillar Pagoda).Then visit Temple of Literature. Lunch in a wonderful restaurant.

The afternoon is dedicated to the discovery of Ethnology Museum which will give an overview of 54 ethnic minorities in Vietnam who you will meet in Sapa town. After that, you will take a fascinating 1 hour tour of Ha Noi’s Old Quarter by Cyclo. The history of the Old Quarter dates back some 2000 years with it’s 36 narrow streets each named after the trade or merchandise made and sold there. Free time for dinner then transfer to Ha Noi railway station to take a night train to Lao Cai(soft sleeper with air-conditioner). Overnight on the train.

Day 3: BAC HA – SAPA – BAN HO – THANH PHU – SIN CHAI (B, L, D)

Car pick up at Lao Cai Station and depart to Sapa for full day trekking. The day commences with a jeep ride to the trekking route. The trek starts by walking through the incredibly scenic “Ban Ho” valley. Here you will have the opportunity to visit and explore the wooden houses, which traditionally belong to the Tay ethnic minority. You will then continue to walk to Thanh Phu village where you stop for lunch in a local house. After lunchtime, you head to Sin Chai village of Red Dao minority where the night will be spent in bamboo huts. You will be attracted by the wonderful hospitable atmosphere of the Red Dao. Overnight in homestay.

Day 4: SIN CHAI – NAM NHIU – MY SON – NAM TOONG – SAPA (B, L)

You start the trek today by walking downhill toward the My Son village, which belongs to the Xafo ethnic minority, one of the smallest group’s ethnic in Northern Vietnam. After one and a half hours walk to the Red Dao village of Nam Toong, lunch will be prepared and served. After lunch you will descend back to Ban Ho village, where you will be able to enjoy a swim at the nearby beautiful waterfall of La Vie. You will then ascend to Su Pan, where the car is waiting to take you back to Sapa. Overnight in Sapa town.

Day 5: SAPA – LAO CAI – HA NOI (B)
